How Times Work

The Hub shows two time settings at the top of the order screen — the Estimated Delivery Time (EDT) and Estimated Collection Time (ECT):

Time SettingWhat It Controls
EDT (Estimated Delivery Time)The delivery time advised to the customer when they order on AndroWeb or the App, and the next available delivery slot offered to the next customer who orders
ECT (Estimated Collection Time)The collection time advised to the customer when they order on AndroWeb or the App, and the next available collection slot offered to the next customer who orders

Tapping the + / - buttons adjusts each time in 1 or 5-minute increments. Hover over the question mark icon for an explanation.

Setting Customer Expectations

EDT and ECT exist to set customer expectations at the point of ordering. When a customer places an order on AndroWeb or the Andromeda App, the EDT or ECT currently set for the store is what they're told to expect. Increasing either time also pushes back the next available slot offered to the following customer who orders — giving the kitchen breathing room during busy periods.

Important: EDT and ECT do not drive Uber Direct courier timing. Uber Direct courier bookings are timed using the Average Prep Time set in Settings, plus extra time for any orders ahead in the queue — see Uber Direct Couriers for details.
  • If orders are consistently running later than the EDT/ECT you're advising — increase it, so customers get an accurate expectation and the kitchen isn't overloaded.
  • If you have spare capacity — decrease it, so new customers aren't offered a longer wait than necessary and the next available slot comes round sooner.
