When processing an order in Andromeda POS there are five options; Delivery, Collection, Shop, Restaurant and Counter. Restaurant and Counter modes are optional extras and are not default order occasions. They can be enabled/disabled depending on stores’ needs. Please contact Helpdesk Team to configure the occasions, as per your needs.

Counter occasion is similar to Shop occasion, but is a faster service style. Counter occasion includes fast void and reprint options as well as a self-contained float; rather than a store-wide float as used in other modes. Quick cash off function is also available here.

On shop orders, there are quick cash off options (these are customizable and can be enabled, or disabled according to stores’ preferences). They allow us to take payments faster and help us with automatically calculating the change, that should be given to the customer.

There are several options to add payment from the quick cash off menu.

Can press the “Full” button, which will add the exact order amount and then the pay types will become active, so can choose the correct pay type.

Can press the £5/£10/£20 buttons, depending on the bills that the customer gives. Can be pressed multiple times and each time the amount will be deducted from the total amount. Example – total amount is £22.45, press £10 button and the remaining amount will become £12.45. Press two times £5 and remaining amount will be £2.45, then press £5 again and there will be a new window where you will see all the bills, that the customer used to pay and the change amount.

Can use the 0-9 numbers, to enter the exact amount that the customer has paid with and then choose the pay type.

Can press the quick suggestions (£22.45 or £23.00), which will automatically choose the cash pay type.

Any way of adding the payment will then open this window, where can see all the bills, the customer used to pay with, the pay type and the change amount. After that there is an option for receipt or no receipt. With this, the process of taking shop order is finished.
