Now that your Flight Deck has been setup you are now ready to recieve orders as soon as your site is live

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Accepting an Order

Once you are logged in and are on the Flight Deck Screen you will be able to see all the orders which have been placed for today as well as for a future day.

When orders are recieved they will sound a new order alert and display with a flashing red dot to show they haven't been actioned yet.

Customers will recieve a confirmation email when they place their order on your website, but will only get an acceptance email once you accept the order on the tablet.

To accept an order, select the order (tile will turn yellow), check the details of the order in the Order Detail Panel and then select the 'Accept Order' button at the bottom of the screen.

Accepting the order will:

  • Makes the red flashing dot to disappear
  • Sends the Customer the acceptance email
  • Prints a Ticket (if printer is configured - need help click here)
  • Provides option to print another ticket
  • Provides option to Pack the order when its ready
  • Adds the value of the order to your Flash Report - Accepted Orders Sales

Rejecting an Order

Before rejecting an order you should consider that these customers have come direct to you instead of going via a more expensive and less loyal alternative and there are other ways to control your orders e.g. Increasing Service Expectations or Orders by Time Slots.

However, there may be times that you have no choice and you simple have to select 'Reject Order' instead of the accept when the order is received.

Rejecting the order will:

  • Request you to select a Reason for rejecting
  • Sends the Customer a rejection email
  • If paid by CARD will arrange for a refund to be done on your behalf (note: takes 3 - 5 business days)
  • Will NOT print a ticket
  • Moves the order to 'Completed Orders' section and flags as rejected
  • Adds the value of the order to your Flash Report - Rejected Orders Sales

If an order needs to be cancelled or refunded once it has been accepted you will need to contact the Andromeda Helpdesk (helpdesk@androtech.com) to arrange a Full or Partial CARD refund

Progressing an Order

Flight Deck allows your customers to keep track of their order as well as for you to control the workflow in your location by being able to move the order to different stages.

The Stages  are:

Accept OrderRemains in 'Pending' (Left Side)order in the process of being perpared
Pack OrderMoves to 'Ready Orders' (across to the right Side)Order is ready for customer / driver to pick up
Out for Delivery (delivery orders only)Moves to 'Being Delivered'Once driver has left with the order
CompleteMoves to 'Completed Orders'Order has been Delivered or Collected

Caution: the order diplayed in the Middle Order Detail screen is the one highlighted in yellow but may not be visable when moved to different stages.

Changing Service Expectations

Customers are provided a guide on when they should expect their order to be delievred (ETD) or ready for collection (ECT).

Not only does it provide a visual guide but also is used to manage ordering slots, first available order time and last ordering times. So careful consideration and planning is needed to maximise sales while providing great customer service.

To update these times in almost real-time for all new customers visiting your website simply select the icons at the top of the screen and increase / decrease the expected fullfilment times in minutes and click confirm.

Remember to reset them at the end of the night for the next day

Viewing Flash Sales

Any point during the day you can view Accepted and Rejected orders by value and quanity by selecting the 'Insight icon'

This report covers the trading day ONLY and resets each morning, so ensure you capture your sales for the day every night.

Every week you will receive a breakdown of your sales by orders

What are Future Orders?

These are orders placed for a following day which will move to Pending on the day required.

Future Orders should still be Accepted when recieved to ensure the customer receives the Order Acceptance Email.
