WHAT IS THE VIRTUAL TAB RAIL (VTR)?

The virtual tab rail
is a software-based UI designed to improve the Kitchen and Dispatcher performance through virtualisation of the physical tab rail.

The VTR is an additional component of Rameses. The purpose of the VTR screen is to improve kitchen/dispatch performance allowing Rameses users to manage the ordering process more efficiently.

Main features:

  • Shows all tickets until they have been bumped past the ‘cut stage'.
  • Improved ‘eye candy’ based upon latest tech (WPF).
  • The VTR screen automatically adapts to the size of the screen and is displayed by default in full screen mode.
  • The screen can be controlled using touch screen.

This will afford users of Rameses POS a greater level of efficiency when managing the order throughout its life-cycle. In order to have working VTR you will need at least Rameses version 4.6.250.

Modifiers

Modifiers are arranged so that any default modifiers which have been removed are displayed in Red and any additional modifiers are displayed in Green.

Deals

Tickets containing Deals are displayed with a slightly different layout.

  • The Deal Name is displayed in an italicized red font.
  • Menu Items contained in the deal are displayed below the deal name.
  • Any items not included in the deal are displayed either before the deal name or after the items in the deal.
