What is the Accident Prompt?
The accident prompt is a configurable setting introduced in POS 4.
The primary purpose of the Accident Prompt is to remind a manager or supervisor to confirm whether a delivery driver was involved in any traffic accident during their shift.
- Prompts whenever a driver account is Clocked Out.
- Time Keeping/Finish Shift
- Till Functions/Collect Float
- When an accident has occurred data is saved to the audit table.
- To enable this functionality, go to Manager -> Custom Settings -> click the DispMak tab and tick the Accident Popup, as shown below (see Configuration).
Functionality
Whenever a driver is Clocked Out using Time Keeping or the “Logout” option available in the Collect Float feature, the Accident Prompt is displayed.
When the option “No [F1]” is selected the driver is immediately clocked out.
An Accident had occurred
When the option “Yes [F12]” is selected a Manager or Supervisor authorisation is required before the employee can be clocked out.
When the option “Cancel [Esc]”is selected the user is prompted with Manager Authorisation required and the user is unable to proceed with clock-out without a Manager or Supervisor authorisation.
Confirming Authorisation
When the option “Confirm [Enter]” is selected the user is clocked out and an audit log is saved to the database indicating that the Driver was involved in an accident and management authorization was supplied.
